Fall Intercollegiate Trading Competition

This year, Traders@MIT will be hosting the 9th annual Intercollegiate Trading Competition on Saturday, November 5th, 2016. Our Fall Competition is the largest trading competition of its kind in the country, and is a great opportunity for students to gain first-hand experience in the trading industry. The competition is a full day event, comprised of multiple sessions in both electronic trading and open outcry (floor trading). Cases will emphasize quantitative analysis and cover the fundamental aspects of trading. Winners will be determined by weighted rankings from each session. Visit the Photos page for pictures from past competitions.

Last year, we featured over 100 students participating from 12 universities: MIT, Harvard, UPenn, Princeton, Yale, Columbia, Cornell, UChicago, Wellesley, Baruch, NYU, and Boston University. At the moment, our Fall Competition is open only to undergraduates.

This year's sponsors are: 3Red, Akuna Capital, Allston Trading, Bank of America-Merrill Lynch, D.E. Shaw, DRW Trading, Element Trading, Flow Traders, Goldman Sachs, Group One Trading, Jane Street Capital, KCG, Optiver, Susquehanna International Group, TD Securities, Town Square Trading, Volant Trading, and Wolverine Trading.
